Big Rig Jig

Big Rig Jig is a forty-two-foot-tall sculpture composed of two decommissioned eighteen-wheeler tanker trucks welded into a gravity-defying, upright S-shape. The installation stands in the courtyard of Fergusons Downtown, a renovated mid-century motel on Fremont Street. The trucks are anchored to a heavy steel base, and their hollowed-out interiors were originally fitted with steel trusses to allow people to climb through the tankers and emerge onto a viewing platform between the rear axles.
