The Writer’s Block is an independent bookstore and coffee shop located within a reflective, cube-shaped building known as The Lucy. Stepping inside, the shop differentiates itself from the surrounding neon-lit city with an interior designed to resemble an artificial bird sanctuary. Stuffed pheasants, parrots, and other birds are perched on branches and wires throughout the space, while nests serve as light fixtures above the espresso bar.
