The OK Hotel sits at two hundred twelve Alaskan Way South, a four-story brick structure that was constructed in nineteen fourteen. Its exterior features a prominent classical cornice and rectangular brick facade, elements once hidden for decades beneath the shadow of the Alaskan Way Viaduct. When it first opened, the building provided rooms for sailors and loggers, eventually sitting vacant for years before being cleared of hundreds of discarded beds by new tenants in the mid-nineteen eighties.
