Museum of Regional Studies

The Museum of Regional Studies, often identified as the State Museum of the History of Culture of Uzbekistan, occupies a historic mansion built between nineteen oh two and nineteen sixteen for the wealthy merchant Abram Kalantarov. The building is a protected monument designed by the architect E. O. Nelle in an eclectic style, and its interiors feature traditional work by local masters, including carved wooden ceilings painted in oils and layered ganch carving in the pardoz technique.
