Hamid Olimjon Nomidagi Drama va Musiqa Teatri

The Hamid Olimjon Musical Drama Theater is one of the oldest professional theaters in Uzbekistan, tracing its origins to the early twentieth century. It officially opened on January fifteenth, nineteen fourteen, with a performance of the play Padarkush, written by the notable intellectual Mahmudhoja Behbudiy. While the company evolved through several iterations—including shifts into a folk theater and a dedicated musical troupe—it eventually took the name of the acclaimed Uzbek poet and playwright Hamid Olimjon, a major figure in the development of twentieth-century Uzbek literature.
