Tintin Comic Mural

The Tintin mural on Rue de l'Etuve features a large, hand-painted scene of the young reporter Tintin, his dog Snowy, and Captain Haddock descending a metal fire escape. Created in two thousand five by the organization Art Mural, the artwork captures a specific moment from the comic album The Calculus Affair. It is part of the Brussels Comic Strip Route, a project that began in nineteen ninety-one to replace unsightly advertising posters on city building facades with images of famous Belgian comic characters.
