Square Patrice Lumumba

Square Patrice Lumumba is identified by a blue plaque bearing the name of the first prime minister of the independent Republic of the Congo. It was officially inaugurated on June thirtieth, two thousand eighteen, to coincide with the fifty-eighth anniversary of the end of Belgian colonial rule in the Congo. The square occupies a section of what was previously known as the Square du Bastion.
