The Comics Art Museum is housed in a structure defined by its soaring glass roof, iron pillars, and a sweeping monumental staircase that once allowed natural light to flood the textile displays of the Magasins Waucquez. Designed by the architect Victor Horta and completed in nineteen oh six, this former department store stands as the last surviving example of Horta’s commercial architecture.
