Brussels Central Station is marked by nine high, vertical glass windows that stretch across its facade, representing the nine provinces of Belgium as they existed when the building opened. Occupying a large trapezoidal block in the heart of the city, the station is defined by its exterior of Gobertange sandstone and French Reffroy stone.
