The Saint-Gabriel Lock, also known as Lock Number Three, consists of a stone-lined channel and mechanical gates that allow vessels to rise or fall two point six meters. The structure sits directly beneath the Des Seigneurs Bridge within a corridor that operated as the primary engine of Montreal’s industrial growth.
