Fonderie Darling

Fonderie Darling is a large, industrial complex of brick buildings characterized by high ceilings and exposed interior walls. Originally constructed in eighteen eighty by the Darling brothers to produce metal castings for machinery, ships, and trains, the facility eventually grew into a four-building complex that employed eight hundred people at its peak. It served as a major industrial site until the company ceased operations in nineteen ninety-one, leaving the structures abandoned for a decade.
