La Colonne stands at the intersection of Rue Voltaire and Rue Raymond-Ridel. This stone monument, topped with lanterns, occupies a space that once served as a traditional gathering point for hunters when the area was still a wooded hunting ground. It first appeared on municipal plans in eighteen sixty-five, a date coinciding with the division of the new village of La Garenne.
