The Tour Carpe Diem stands one hundred sixty-six meters high in the La Défense business district, distinguished by north and south facades that feature faceted glass surfaces resembling the points of a diamond. Completed in twenty thirteen, this thirty-eight story office tower was designed by New York architect Robert A.M. Stern. It occupies the site of a former France Télécom building, becoming the first project of the district's renewal plan to involve the demolition of an existing structure to make way for new construction.
