The Cimetière Parisien de Pantin spans over one hundred seven hectares, making it the largest active cemetery in France. Opened in eighteen eighty-six, this vast site holds nearly one hundred forty-five thousand graves and has been the final resting place for over one million people since its inception. While the main entrance is located on Avenue Jean Jaurès, various access points dot the perimeter, connecting the grounds to the surrounding urban landscape of Pantin and Bobigny.
