The Basilique Notre-Dame-du-Perpétuel-Secours is marked by a single, slender spire that rises sixty-two meters above the surrounding apartment buildings on the Boulevard de Ménilmontant. Completed in eighteen ninety-eight, this neo-Gothic church was designed by Brother Gérard Grunblatt, a member of the Redemptorist congregation that once served this neighborhood.
