Square de la Place Pasdeloup

The Square de la Place Pasdeloup is a small, tree-lined garden running along the boulevard des Filles du Calvaire, immediately beside the Cirque d’Hiver. Its most recognizable feature is the stone Fontaine Dejean, which was erected in nineteen oh six. The fountain displays a sculptural medallion of François-Eugène Dejean, a benefactor who gifted twelve fountains to the city of Paris, and it is topped by a statue of a bird, often identified as a swan or a pelican.
