Lac de Saint-Mandé

The Lac de Saint-Mandé is a shallow, oval-shaped body of water tucked into the northwest corner of the Bois de Vincennes. Covering about one and a half hectares, it features a single island at its center that serves as a sanctuary for waterfowl, including swans and various species of ducks. Its significance to the local area is such that the lake is depicted on the municipal coat of arms of the neighboring town of Saint-Mandé through three wavy silver lines.
