Escalier hélicoïdal de la Coulée Verte René-Dumont

The Coulée verte René-Dumont rises above the twelfth arrondissement as a linear park built atop an abandoned nineteenth-century railway viaduct. Its path stretches four and a half kilometers from the site of the former Gare de la Bastille to the edge of the Bois de Vincennes. The route follows the tracks of a line that opened in eighteen fifty-nine and carried steam trains until nineteen sixty-nine.
