Place de Séoul is a tucked-away, circular plaza characterized by the surrounding postmodern housing complex known as Les Échelles du Baroque. Designed by the Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill and completed in the mid-nineteen eighties, the space features mirrored and faceted building surfaces that create deep, geometric reflections. It sits within the Plaisance neighborhood of the fourteenth arrondissement, a site once designated as a redevelopment zone called ZAC Guilleminot-Vercingétorix.
