Stade Bergeyre

event

The Butte Bergeyre is a quiet, elevated residential district in the nineteenth arrondissement, defined by its steep access, winding streets, and a lack of the typical Parisian crowds. While the hill now feels like a hidden village, it once housed the Stade Bergeyre, a sports venue built in nineteen eighteen with funding from the businessman Jacques Sigrand. The stadium was named in memory of Robert Bergeyre, a young French rugby player who was killed in nineteen fourteen during the First World War.
