The Bassin de la Villette stretches eight hundred meters long and seventy meters wide as the largest artificial lake in Paris. You can identify it by the Rue de Crimée lifting bridge, the last of its kind in the city, which rises hydraulically to allow canal traffic to pass between its two distinct sections.
