Lycée Hélène Boucher (Paris)

The Lycée Hélène Boucher is identified by the distinctive rosy tint of its exterior walls, which are covered in a coating of crushed marble and porphyry. This building stands at seventy-five cours de Vincennes on the site of a former gas factory known as the Usine de Saint-Mandé, which was demolished in nineteen thirty-one. Designed by the architect Lucien Sallez, the structure was inaugurated in nineteen thirty-seven as a lycée for girls, aimed at serving the expanding population of eastern Paris.
