Tombstone of Edith Piaf

historic

The tomb of Edith Piaf is a modest black stone monument situated within the ninety-seventh division of the Père Lachaise Cemetery. It bears the inscription Famille Gassion-Piaf and serves as the final resting place for the singer alongside her father, Louis-Alphonse Gassion, and her last husband, Théo Sarapo. A small, handwritten plaque placed by a fan remains attached to the stone, notable for a spelling error in the word actualitées that has persisted for years.
