Maison Gainsbourg

The façade of five bis Rue de Verneuil is instantly recognizable by the layers of graffiti that have coated its exterior for decades. This building was the home of musician Serge Gainsbourg from nineteen sixty-nine until his death in nineteen ninety-one. For more than thirty years following his passing, the house remained sealed, preserved exactly as he left it, with items ranging from gold records to cigarette packs undisturbed in their original positions.
