The Medieval Garden of the Cluny Museum is a four-thousand-square-meter green space tucked into the heart of the Latin Quarter. It is instantly recognizable by the contrast between its neat, square planting beds and the rugged stone ruins of ancient Gallo-Roman baths that frame its edge. These gardens were first laid out between fourteen ninety-eight and fifteen fifteen, serving as a private retreat for the abbots of Cluny who resided in the adjacent mansion.
