Sainte-Élisabeth of Hungary Church sits on the rue du Temple, recognizable by its classical facade that echoes the Jesuit style of the Church of the Gesù in Rome. Queen Marie de Médicis laid the first stone of this building in sixteen twenty-eight, originally intending it as a chapel for the nuns of the Third Order of Saint Francis.
