Hohenzollernstraße twenty-one is a building that marks a distinct shift in the history of Munich's Schwabing district. While today it functions as a modern office space, it was the site of the Lehr- und Versuchsatelier für angewandte und freie Kunst, founded in nineteen oh two by Wilhelm von Debschitz and Hermann Obrist. At the start of the twentieth century, this school grew into the largest private educational institution for arts and crafts in Germany.
