Museum of Greek Folk Musical Instruments "Fivos Anoyanakis" - Centre for Ethnomusicology

The Museum of Greek Folk Musical Instruments occupies an eighteen-forties neoclassical mansion in the Plaka district. This building served as the residence of Georgios Lassanis, a participant in the Greek War of Independence. Inside the structure lies a collection of twelve hundred traditional Greek instruments, assembled over five decades by the musicologist Fivos Anoyanakis.
