Hokkaidō Museum of Literature

The Hokkaido Museum of Literature sits within the grounds of Nakajima Park, recognizable by its position as a dedicated repository for the regional writing of Hokkaido. Opened on September twenty-second, nineteen ninety-five, it was the first institution in the prefecture devoted entirely to literature. Its creation followed decades of advocacy from local enthusiasts who began organizing literary exhibitions as early as nineteen sixty-six.
