The Sapporo Children's Puppet Theater Koguma-za sits nestled among the greenery of Nakajima Park, identifiable by a distinct, humorous exterior design created by architect Yoshiya Tanoue. Established on July twenty-fourth, nineteen seventy-six, it holds the distinction of being the first public puppet theater in Japan.
