Nakaza Cuidaore Building

The Nakaza Cuidaore Building is defined by a six-metre-tall, three-dimensional figure of Kuidaore Taro attached to its facade. The mechanical clown, dressed in a red and white striped costume with black-rimmed glasses, bangs a drum to greet visitors to Dotonbori. The building itself is a seven-floor complex dedicated to the local culinary concept of kuidaore, which describes the practice of eating until one falls into financial ruin. Inside, the space features restaurants serving regional specialties like kushikatsu and okonomiyaki, alongside souvenir shops, karaoke, and a basement theater called Dotonbori ZAZA that hosts live comedy performances.
