Kihara Tokyo is a showroom tucked into the upper floors of a building in the Tomigaya area of Shibuya. It functions as the local outpost for a porcelain producer based in Arita, a town on the island of Kyushu known for four hundred years of ceramic history. While the company maintains its roots in the traditional kilns of Arita, this space brings their work into the context of contemporary Tokyo, displaying goods that range from everyday kitchenware to specialized tea and sake tools.
