Los Muertos Beach Pier

The Los Muertos Beach Pier is defined by a towering central metal structure that curves upward to resemble a ship’s sail. Completed in two thousand thirteen, the pier extends over three hundred feet into the Bay of Banderas and features colorful, illuminated lights that glow against the night sky. This modern silhouette replaced a utilitarian wooden structure that had served as a primary transit point for decades, including during the nineteen sixty-four filming of The Night of the Iguana in nearby Mismaloya.
