Mercado Municipal Rio Cuale

The Mercado Municipal Rio Cuale is a two-level, covered building recognizable by the vibrant, colorful murals adorning its exterior walls. Situated along the north bank of the Cuale River, this market provides a permanent home for vendors who once occupied informal stalls throughout the city. The structure, designed by architect Alejandro Zohn, was built between nineteen seventy-seven and nineteen seventy-nine to centralize local commerce.
