Café X

Café Equis—known to many simply as Café X—occupies a corner of the Centro Histórico in Mexico City that transports visitors back to the era of the Mexican Golden Age of cinema. Established in nineteen thirty by Gaspar González Fernández, the shop remains a fixture of the capital’s coffee culture. Its interior and exterior design deliberately evoke a mid-twentieth-century aesthetic, creating a setting that feels detached from the modern city outside.
