The Palacio Postal is defined by its façade of light-colored, translucent quarry stone, decorated with intricate carved filigree, dragon-shaped bronze light fixtures, and a roofline featuring delicate stone crenellations. Inaugurated in nineteen oh seven, this building was commissioned by President Porfirio Díaz to demonstrate Mexico’s modernization. It was designed by the Italian architect Adamo Boari, who collaborated with the Mexican engineer Gonzalo Garita y Frontera to create a structure that functions as the city’s main post office.
