Ventana Arqueológica Calmecac Tenochtitlan (Centro Cultural España)

The Centro Cultural de España en México is defined by a deep basement that reveals the stone foundations of the ancient Calmécac, the prestigious school where children of the Aztec nobility were trained. Discovered in two thousand six during the building’s expansion, these remnants include stucco staircases, basalt slabs, and the base of a room from the reign of Ahuítzol.
