Surgeons' Hall Museum

The Surgeons' Hall Museum is identifiable by its grand, imposing facade on Nicolson Street, designed by the architect William Henry Playfair and completed in eighteen thirty-two. It houses the headquarters of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, an organization with roots dating back to its incorporation in fifteen oh five. The museum displays one of the most extensive collections of surgical pathology in the world, featuring thousands of preserved tissues, historical medical instruments, and anatomical specimens.
