The Museum of Performance and Design occupies a unit within a warehouse complex on Jerrold Avenue in the Bayview district. Its entrance is identified by an east-facing driveway marked for units K through Z. This institution houses a collection of more than three and a half million items, including playbills, costume designs, photographs, and audio recordings, documenting the history of Bay Area performing arts from the Gold Rush to the present.
