Havens Mansion and Carriage House

The Havens Mansion and Carriage House at thirteen eighty-one South Van Ness Avenue is defined by its deep, ornate wood siding and the presence of its original, intact carriage house nearby. Built in eighteen eighty-four, this residence is a survivor of the city's nineteenth-century Mansion Row, a stretch of the Mission District once defined by the homes of the upper middle class.
