The Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts occupies a four-story building on Mission Street that formerly housed a furniture store known as The Shaft. You can identify the structure by the massive mural titled Spirits of the Arts that blankets its upper facade, depicting skeletons, dancers, and drummers influenced by Mayan, Incan, and Aztec imagery.
