Old Mission Dolores Museum

The Old Mission Dolores Museum is home to artifacts and exhibits documenting the founding of the city of San Francisco. It sits beside the original adobe chapel, which was established in seventeen seventy-six and remains the oldest intact building in the city. The chapel, officially named Mission San Francisco de Asís, was constructed with adobe bricks and redwood timbers during the Spanish colonial period.
