The Brune-Reutlinger House at eight twenty-four Grove Street is an Italianate and Stick-style Victorian dwelling that dates to eighteen eighty-six. Constructed for liquor merchant Henry Brune at a cost of seven thousand five hundred dollars, the house sits on land that once served as the side garden for the neighboring Fay family. It is distinguished by its preservation as a time capsule of nineteenth-century furnishings and ornament.
