Pioneer Building (San Francisco)

The Pioneer Building is a three-story wooden structure on Eighteenth Street defined by its Italianate-style architectural details. These decorative features, which include tall windows and carved flourishes along the facade, are unusually elaborate for a building designed for industrial work. Built in nineteen oh two, the structure stands as a rare survivor of the fire that followed the nineteen oh six earthquake, which destroyed much of the surrounding city.
