Glen Canyon Park is a deep, rugged canyon in the middle of San Francisco, characterized by steep, grassy slopes and large, reddish outcrops of layered chert. Spanning about seventy acres, it functions as a wild refuge where Islais Creek flows through a riparian habitat of willow thickets.
