Broad Street

Broad Street in Boston is defined by its deep history as an early center of maritime commerce, stretching back to the seventeenth century. While much of the Financial District is dominated by modern office towers, this street preserves a distinct connection to the nineteenth century through several surviving Federal-style buildings. These brick structures were once warehouses for the goods that fueled the city's growth as a major port.
