Bova's Bakery sits on the corner where Salem Street intersects with Prince Street, marked by the steady stream of people moving in and out at all hours. Founded in nineteen twenty-six by Italian immigrant Antonio Bova, this family-owned shop began as a small operation across the street at seventy-nine Prince Street. Antonio initially struggled to attract customers, so he took to the neighborhood streets with a basket of fresh, hot bread, handing out samples and introducing himself to his new neighbors.
