SIFF Cinema Downtown

SIFF Cinema Downtown is identifiable by its glowing marquee and grand, mid-twentieth-century aesthetic on Fourth Avenue. This theater first opened in nineteen sixty-three, just one year after the Seattle World's Fair, and gained fame as one of the few places on earth equipped to project massive, three-panel Cinerama films. Its curved screen, spanning ninety feet, is constructed from two thousand individual strips and remains a centerpiece of the venue.
