The Athenian Seafood Restaurant and Bar is recognizable by its prominent neon sign and a nautical-themed interior that opens onto views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains. Established in nineteen oh nine, just two years after the opening of Pike Place Market, it began as a bakery and luncheonette founded by three Greek brothers named Pappadakis.
