Jardin de la Cité Administrative

The Jardin de la Cité Administrative sits atop a vast, elevated concrete deck that covers a subterranean parking complex. Designed by the Belgian landscape architect René Pechère and realized beginning in the nineteen seventies, this space was intended as a modern, geometric garden to accompany the Cité Administrative de l’État, a massive government office complex built between nineteen fifty-nine and nineteen eighty-five.
